1. Read or re-read chapter 9 of Things Fall Apart. (We will be reading or re-reading chapters 22 and 23 in the next few days).

2. Get a copy of the Bible, preferably in the New Revised Standard Version. You can find it on-line. Print out to bring to class chapters 1-3 of the Book of Genesis, the first "book" of the Bible (or bring your copy of the Bible itself to class) starting Monday.
